Today was fun!!! The women’s cross country skiing was unlike any other event. It was my first time really watching it. It was pretty cool though. It is one sport that you have to use your arms and your legs the whole time. These skiers had to basically run uphill on skis while using their arms….that is GNARLY!!!!!!!! After the event I got to take pictures with a skier from Finland, and one from USA!! We just went to the White Spot, which is a restaurant like Chili’s or Coco’s. I am now watching men’s skeleton and still indulging in my Chuoa(chew-wow) chocolate that my mom got me for Valentine’s Day.

We are going to the ONE event that I actually WANT to go to today. Cross Country Skiing. Yesterday we picked up Mona, Jake, and Trevor and went to Canadian Tire, The Bay at the mall, and the 218 flavor ice cream place. Then we went to the Briggs house and visited them for a while.  We exchanged gifts and I got one of Cassidy’s bracelets and a shirt with her favorite colors.  We gave them some of the Cassidy necklaces and Encinitas surfboards t shirts.  My dad and I also got to hold an authentic Olympic torch. I have to get ready now…to leave for the bus…..more later

Ohhhhh myyyyy gaaaaasshhhh!!!!

Yesterday we went to our first event,  womens hockey. USA vs. Russia. USA won!!!! My dad was like, “They just slaughtered them!!” It was pretty exciting………….more exciting than today…….We went to The Bay downtown, which is a department store with a huge Olympic section, so we got some awesome stuff.

Today was…..interesting……..We went to another event!! And that event was CURLING!!!! My dad, John and Penny were having the greatest time. On the other hand, I was so focused on the game…..you would have thought that I was SLEEPING!!!!There were 4 games going on at one time so I didn’t know who people were routing for and when people started yelling…..I didn’t know if it was good or bad. After that we went to pick up our tickets for cross-country skiing on Friday. Once we got there we wanted to know if we could buy more tickets to other events, but the lady didn’t speak any English……so that was NO help at all. Then we went to lunch at this BBQ place that was very good. On our way home we went to this island across from downtown which was where the Swiss set up there broadcasting network. Me and my dad got a bratwurst. Then when we were getting on the sky train…or subway…my dad verbally assaulted the transportation officer, but luckily he didn’t hear it or else we probably would have had to leave the country….just kidding.
